We had a Harvest photography competition down on the Southbank. We put some rules in place, objects to find and set a time limit! We also provided teams with a Lomolito disposable camera each and let them loose on the unsuspecting public. Here are a few of my favourites.

It was a great night out that ultimately ended up with us having a few too many beers!
I would highly recommend you have a go yourselves (the photography that is…)

Dixon Baxi

An incredible amount of consistently good work from design duo Dixon Baxi can be seen on their site. They have just done a great job rebranding UK television channel Five, have completed equally great work for the likes of SciFi Channel, MTV, VH1 and Last FM.

This is certainly worth a look wether your a fellow design professional or a budding graphic designer.

Well I have been so busy with work projects that I haven’t had time to update for a while. Feeling very guilty so to get myself back into the swing of things thought I would post up some more lomo style iPhone images shot using QuadCamera

On similar lines to Myfonts – What the Font, here are a like minded collective on flickr that will help you try and identify fonts from photographs. Not sure what the success rate is but there’s some nice images as usual.

Continuing the motion graphics theme here is a superb online portfolio from Christopher Hewitt. I used to do a bit of work with Chris when he was primarily a web designer but his change of direction into the motion world has certainly been a wise choice.
Lots of great work, insight with Chris also featuring as a regular speaker on the motion festivals circuit.

Lomo your iPhone!

Is this the coolest ever iPhone app? Yep I think it is QuadCamera is really amazing.
The results are astonishing and really emulate the Lomo style well. The images above were shot this morning on my way in to work and are completely untouched by photoshop.

I originally saw this on Monster Munch a blog by Nicky which is in all honesty just too damn good, it looks good,  the posts are consistently good, she’s been blogging for years – damn!

I had forgotten all about this cool project until I just discovered a bookmark. Little hand painted people left in London to fend for themselves. Little People – Big Respect!

Spin have been busy updating their minimalist website. I really do like it when agencies take time out to present work well online. Great photography complimenting great work.

Mini me yourself

Miniature London
Now this is one of the coolest things I’ve seen this year. This is a modern take on the tilt-shift photography technique but without the expensive lenses. The online community has once again pulled together to showcase and provide tutorials on how to achieve this effect with your own photographs. I’ll post some examples when I have given it a go.
